Durdham Downs Jubilee Balloon Flyout- Monday 4th June PM
To mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, a flyout was arranged on the Durdham Downs by Nick Langley to celebrate the occasion. The flyout saw around 15 balloons attending. However low winds meant that during the flyout itself many balloons did not make it very far, some balloons just hopping over from one part of the Downs to another, although some did manage to fly over the city center and land safely. The balloons that flew were: Road to Mandalay, A-Gas, University of Bristol, G-BRTV, Champagne Taittinger, Bristol Balloons, Polly Wallets, Cameron Balloons, G-BWKV, Cancer Research UK and ABC Flights, while the Churchil dog special shape and BWS remained tethered. Bailey Balloons were also intending to fly along with their DS Smith balloon but pulled out due to the low winds.
